This Privacy Policy describes how Genesys Broadcasting Private Limited ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Rock TV, including the Rock TV website, mobile apps, and smart TV apps (together, the "Service").
Effective date: 30 October 2026
1. Who we are
Rock TV is a live television streaming service operated by Genesys Broadcasting Private Limited. If you have a question about this policy or your information, use the Contact page on the Rock TV website.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us, information created when you use the Service, and limited technical information needed to run it.
- Account details. Depending on how you sign in, this can include your name, email address, phone number, city, and a Google account identifier. Phone sign-in uses a one-time password sent to your number. Google sign-in uses the account details Google shares with us.
- Profile and support. Information you add to your profile, and the name, email, phone number, subject, and message you send through support.
- Viewing and preferences. Channels you open, like, save, or add to a wishlist, so we can run playback, recommendations, and your library.
- Payments. Package purchases are processed by Razorpay in Indian rupees. We store the package you bought, the amount, payment status, and Razorpay order and payment references. We do not store your full card, UPI, or net-banking credentials.
- Device and notifications. A device token if you allow push notifications, plus the app or browser you use.
- Technical logs. Server logs may include your IP address, browser or app type, date and time, and the pages or API requests you make. These logs help us keep the Service secure and fix faults.
- Website storage. The website stores sign-in tokens in your browser so you can stay logged in, and may store your theme preference (light or dark).
3. How we use information
- Create and secure your account, including phone and Google sign-in.
- Stream channels you are allowed to watch, including free and paid channels.
- Sell and activate subscription packages for the number of days shown at purchase.
- Send service messages and, if you allow them, push notifications.
- Answer support requests.
- Understand which parts of the Service are used, and improve reliability and security.
- Meet legal, tax, and payment obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to operate Rock TV:
- Payment processing. Razorpay receives the details required to take payment for a package.
- Sign-in and notifications. Google and Firebase may process sign-in and push-notification data when you use those features.
- Infrastructure. Hosting, database, and media providers that store or deliver the Service under our instructions.
- Legal reasons. Authorities or other parties when we believe disclosure is required by law, or is needed to protect Rock TV, our users, or the public.
Channel schedules and streams may come from third-party broadcasters. Those parties do not receive your Rock TV account details from us unless you go to their own website or service.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account, viewing, support, and payment records for as long as your account is active and for a further period needed for security, dispute handling, tax, and legal record-keeping. Server logs are kept for a shorter operational period. You can ask us to delete your account using the Contact page. We may retain limited records where the law requires it, including payment references.
6. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections where the Service supports them, and restricted storage of payment references. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
- Update your name, city, and phone number from your profile where the Service allows it.
- Turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- Sign out to stop using the saved session on that browser or device.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your account information through the Contact page. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you.
8. Children
Rock TV is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to let you know through the Service.
